Maranda Bowers, MS

Maranda (she/her) is a doctoral candidate at Antioch University, where she received a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. She has over 5 years of experience providing psychotherapy and assessment services in community mental health and primary care settings, working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Maranda has supported clients navigating a wide range of experiences including mood and anxiety disorders, complex trauma, neurodiversity, and identity development.

Maranda uses an integrative psychodynamic lens through which she views the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful growth and change. Her work explores how our unconscious motivations and the responses of our external world shape and maintain patterns of feeling and relating. She invites clients to examine intergenerational patterns that emerge from our early attachment experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of how we move through the world. In her work with children and adolescents, Maranda utilizes a number of evidence-based approaches such as child-centered, gestalt, cognitive behavioral, sand tray, and attachment-focused therapies. She believes firmly in the power of play as a vehicle for growth and system connection. She works to nurture a sense of safety, choice, and creative expression in the therapy room.

Maranda is passionate about providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed, inclusive, and neurodiversity-affirming care. Guided by an awareness of how our environment, identities, and social systems shape our lived experience, she collaborates with clients to cultivate new ways of relating to themselves and others. Maranda is currently accepting clients and is available to work with children, adolescents, and adults.
