Tara Goodrich, Ph.D.
Tara (she/her) received her bachelor’s degree from Smith College, and obtained her Doctorate in Psychology from the Derner Institute of Adelphi University in 2002. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Columbia University’s Counseling and Psychological Services. She has worked extensively with children, adolescents, adults and parents in private practice since 2005. She is licensed in both NY and MA.
Rachel Dress Snider, LICSW
Rachel (she/her) earned her Master of Social Work degree from New York University, and completed postgraduate certification in Adult Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy at Adelphi University. Rachel started her private practice in New York City in 2007, and has extensive experience working with older adolescents and adults of all ages. She is licensed in both NY and MA.
Ally Einbinder
Ally Einbinder (she/her) is the Director of Operations at Psychotherapy for Insight and Change, where she ensures the practice runs smoothly behind the scenes so clients and clinicians can focus on the work that matters most. Ally is often the first point of contact for prospective clients, answering questions and helping people get the information they need to take the next step. With more than a decade of experience in operations management, Ally is passionate about creating systems that are efficient, reliable, and grounded in care.
Luc Olivier Charlap, PhD
Luc earned his PhD in clinical social work from New York University, and completed his postdoctoral studies in psychoanalysis at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. He has a private practice in New York City and Northampton.
Serving on the faculty at various psychoanalytic institutes for much of his career, Luc teaches classes on Trauma and its Treatment; Gender and Sexuality; Object Relations; Klein; Envy, Narcissism and Borderline States; and Character Styles and Treatment.
Deborah Berkman, PhD, MAT
Deborah received her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst in 1991. Previous to that, she earned her Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) from the University of Iowa. Deborah taught at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA for 17 years, where she also developed and directed the Writing Center. The Writing Center's mission to address writing blocks and other forms of academic performance anxiety led Deborah to her Ph.D. specialization in psychotherapy with college students.
Mark Ryan, LICSW
Mark (he/him) earned his Master of Social Work degree at Simmons College in 1998, and a Bachelor's from Brandeis University. He trained in The Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Program at the Institute of Psychoanalytic Training and Research in New York City. Mark has had a thriving private practice in Brooklyn, NY for more than fifteen years, seeing children, adolescents, adults, and parents. He has also worked extensively in acute crisis care while at Boston Children’s Hospital Inpatient Psychiatric Service, in foster care settings, and in long-term residential treatment centers for adolescents with addictions.
Wren Hannah, LMHC-RDT
Wren (he/him) received his Master’s degree in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University. He has over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of therapeutic settings. Wren was an art therapist and assistant director for 10 years at an adventure-based counseling program for adolescents. He also served as a therapist and clinical supervisor for a decade at the Center for Expressive Arts Therapy in Manchester, NH.
Sarah Towers, LICSW
Sarah (she/her) received her bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College and obtained her Master of Social Work degree from Smith College School for Social Work in 2016. Since then, Sarah has practiced in community mental health in Northampton, working with adults of varying ages and backgrounds, with a particular focus on complex trauma and anxiety. Sarah also holds a Master of Arts in Fiction from Boston University, and before becoming a psychotherapist, taught creative writing and literature at the Bard Prison Initiative, Colgate University, and Boston University.
Serra David, LCSW
Serra (she/her) received her bachelor’s degree from Colby College and Master of Social Work degree from Smith College School for Social Work. She has previously worked with children and adolescents in a community mental health setting, and provided individual psychotherapy to adults. Serra has supported clients through a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Serra’s approach to therapy is grounded in psychodynamic theory and in her background as a student of language and literature.
Gianna DeFelice, LCSW
Gianna DeFelice (she/they) earned her Master of Social Work degree at Smith College School for Social Work and her Bachelor's degrees in Sociology and Community Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz. They are experienced working with adults, children and adolescents in various therapeutic settings, including schools, outpatient mental health clinics, and outdoor/nature environments. Gianna primarily works from a psychodynamic perspective, with play-therapy and art therapy as foundations of her child work.
Maranda Bowers, MS
Maranda (she/her) is a doctoral candidate at Antioch University, where she received a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. She has over 5 years of experience providing psychotherapy and assessment services in community mental health and primary care settings, working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Maranda has supported clients navigating a wide range of experiences including mood and anxiety disorders, complex trauma, neurodiversity, and identity development.
Nick Duska, LMHC
Nick (he/him) earned his Master of Mental Health Counseling degree from Westfield State University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In addition to his advanced degrees, Nick is a Certified Life Coach. He also worked and received training at the Alchemy Healing Center, informed by the healing traditions of holistic Chinese medicine. While Nick practices primarily from an insight-oriented stance, his background in life coaching offers a practical, solution-focused skill set from which he is able to draw. He has a particular focus on treating OCD, and engages in ongoing, specialized training to deepen his work with this condition.
Emily Bazin, LCSW
Emily (she/her) received her bachelor's degree in psychology from American University, and a Master of Social Work degree from Smith College School for Social Work. She holds a deep passion for working with children, adolescents, and their families. Emily has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and she has specialized experience working with neurodivergent children who need a high level of support. Emily is particularly inspired by facilitating therapeutic groups for children and adolescents, finding the group format especially meaningful in addressing emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and social skills.
Lake Starr, Doctoral Intern
Lake (they/them) earned bachelors’ degrees in both psychology and English literature from Western Washington University and is currently a doctoral student in clinical psychology at Antioch University of New England. Lake’s prior training was in early childhood education where they studied the use of storytelling to regulate and understand emotions. Today, their clinical work and research centers on how these stories can help us cope with life’s challenges and develop a sense of self.
